Managing the Field Training Officer (FTO) Program is a one day, 8-hour class. It is designed for officers and/or supervisors who are assigned to oversee their agency’s field training program with an emphasis on the San Jose Model. The course emphasizes the need for program managers to be very familiar with their evaluation process, forms (DORs), and Standardized Evaluation Guidelines.
Managing the FTO Program covers the importance of support from command and the Field Training Officer (FTO) selection process.
The evaluation process includes: critical evaluation review (DORs), ethical and cultural evaluations, identifying training issues, as well as documenting remedial training efforts.
Cost $327.00 per attendee – 20 attendee minimum
